Robin began her musical journey as a pianist and flautist and is now pursuing her second year of a master’s degree in conducting at California Baptist University (CBU). During her time at CBU, Robin has conducted the Symphony Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Opera and Symphonic Band.
Robin is the founder and conductor of the Mission Philharmonic and Mission Wind Ensemble, based in Riverside, California. The ensemble brings together 91 local musicians from five universities, two high schools, and K-12 band directors. Its mission is to foster music education and appreciation in Riverside by offering free concerts and outreach events. Supported by the Public Art Riverside Grant, the ensemble has performed a Disney-themed concert to introduce music to younger audiences and families. Additionally, the Mission Philharmonic’s woodwind quintet regularly performs at underserved venues, including Olive Crest and Leaven Kids, sharing the joy of music with foster families and children.
In the summer of 2022, Robin attended the Sewanee Summer Music Festival, where she studied standard repertoire and premiered works by emerging composers under the guidance of Dr. Gene Moon. Her conducting experience includes workshops with the Cleveland Pops, University of North Texas, University of Oregon, and University of Central Florida, where she conducted both wind band and orchestral works.
Robin is a versatile musician, excelling as a conductor, instrumentalist, and arts administrator. She served as the Orchestra Manager for the Sewanee Symphony for the 2024 season and Artist Liaison with the National Repertory Orchestra (NRO) for the 2023 season. While with the NRO, she performed piano with the orchestra for Disney’s The Lion King in concert and Anna Thorvaldsdottir’s Ro at the Breckenridge International Festival of Arts.
As a flautist, Robin has performed with distinguished ensembles such as the World Youth Wind Symphony at the Interlochen Center for the Arts, the 2019 FMEA All-State Symphonic Band, and the Florida Music Ambassadors on their 75th Anniversary Tour in Europe.
Robin holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Florida Southern College, where she double majored in piano and flute performance. She currently studies instrumental conducting at California Baptist University under Dr. Gene Moon and Dr. Robert Frelly.
